Sensory Integration
Barrett treats children with Sensory Integration dysfunction/disorders while at the same time educating parents on how they can continue to help the child at home. This education piece is often missing when a child is treated in other settings.
Occupational Therapy
We use a sensory motor approach to pediatric OT at Barrett. Most of what we do looks and feels like play to our clients, but there are many levels to what we are doing. We are constantly assessing a child’s needs to ensure that they can function in all areas of their lives.
Speech Therapy
Our Speech and Language Department assesses and treats children with a variety of communication delays/disorders including those children diagnosed with PDD/Autism, Asperger’s, receptive and expressive language delays, speech sound disorders including articulation and phonological issues, social/pragmatic difficulties, and feeding and oral motor difficulties.
